Well there is a first for everything, and certainly a first for me. A wedding in the in the snow on a boat. No that was not a miss type, yes a true winter wonderland wedding.
Juanel and Raymond tied the knot Sunday, January 10, 2010. This date was very special to the brides as it was her father birthday who is no longer with us. She was determined to marry on this day, rain, sleet or snow =-). . . . And that she did.
It took place on the Tahoe Queen where 60 of her closest family and friends attended. The colors used were so rich .Espresso, Latte with a touch of gold.
As you know it is the small details of a wedding or any event that ties it all together are the most memorable. One of the small details which made a big impact was the use of hand-made snow flakes instead of flower. These were thrown by the flower girl before the bride walked down. The snow flake was also use through out the wedding. This being a destination wedding it stack able gift boxes containing goodies were use as the centerpieces. Guest were able to take them home with them plus enjoy a midnight snack if they choose too. This was a huge hit with the guest.
I will post photos at a later date in the meantime take a look at the slide show created by the photographer Nathan Smith. He was awesome:
